I have a 5-year old daughter, Nanaki; she has more abstract reasoning than I can handle. She is regularly challenging me through phenomenal reasoning, such as: how and why we got divorced and why it would be important and positive for her if we got back together. Never underestimate the knowledge of a child!

When our daughter Simran was born in 1963, my Chief Clerk on the plantation came to see the new born together with his family. Their son, not more than 2 years old, held Simran's tiny hand and exclaimed with joy: "Ma, what new hands she has?" Can you improve on this exquisite description?
