Hollywood star Mickey Rourke has joined the cast of “Tiger” opposite Janel Parrish (“Pretty Little Liars”) and Prem Singh in the title role.

The movie is inspired by the story of Pardeep Singh Nagra, a Sikh-Canadian who was barred from trying to compete in the Olymipcs in the sport of boxing because he refused to shave his beard.

Ultimately, he was able to compete in the necessary stages leading up to the selection, after going to court, but the delay did manage to sabotage his chances.

Principal photography has begun in Cincinnati on the drama from R3M Productions in association with Grodnik / Aloe Productions.

Alister Grierson directs from a screenplay by Michael Pugliese and Prem Singh. Producers are Mary Aloe of Aloe Entertainment with Daniel Grodnik of Mass Hysteria Entertainment, Joey Paul Jensen and Howard Nash. Executive producers are Rocco Pugliese, Daniel Hansen, Matte Hansen, Daniel Grillo and Robert Kwartler.

The film is co-financed by R3M Productions, Omnia Entertainment and Starruner Entertainment.

Looking forward to Prem Singh doing justice to this living legend. Cannot wait to see the movie on the screen.
