How Can We Forget

AMAN SINGH SANDHU, 11

How can we forget

People were dying
Children were crying
Yet the government is
Still denying
Still lying.

How can we forget

Bluestar was evil
Bluestar was cruel
Now they're trying to make us the fool.

Our brothers were killed
Our sisters were raped.
Harmandar Sahib they did desecrate
I’m not singing this song to remember but to remind.
Now, pyaare Khalsa ji, justice we will find!!

Thousands were left injured.
Thousands left dead.
Kumar and Tytler mobs they led
They put tyres round our necks
Kerosene on our head
Then they burnt us till we were dead.

Tank shells at Darbar Sahib
Bullets through our hearts
They callously tore our families apart.

How can we forget

The acts of 84
They'll always live forevermore

Now we shall open our eyes wide.
And recognise this genocide!

Nirbau, nirvair, niau.

Fearless, without enmity, justice.

How can we go wrong when we have children like Aman? The credit goes to the parents for such an upbringing. When doing seva don't forget to have Waheguru on your lips. Seva without repeating His Name becomes ego-centric. With much blessings. You are on the right path, Aman.

I am overwhelmed with emotions. I appreciate your effort, Aman. You are a very capable child. I congratulate Aman's parents on a job well done. Your teachings about the importance of moral and ethical values instilled in Aman have guided him. I want to tell you, Aman, we are all very proud of you. This is an outstanding effort.

Well done! What a fantastic poem, Aman! Put the effort that you put into your poem into your schoolwork. You already do. How do I know, you ask? I go to school with Aman.
