No Surprise:
1984 Mass-Murderer Sajjan Kumar Walks

NEWS REPORT

No surprise.

A judge hand-selected by the government to molly-coddle a mass-murderer while presiding over his trial -- which was intentionally delayed by India's "justice" system and held only after 28 years had lapsed after the murders! - has proclaimed him 'not guilty' this morning (Tuesday, April 30, 2013) in a New Delhi court in India.

Also, not surprisingly, the judge was immediately hit by a shoe-missile -- a method commonly used in India by the public to express displeasure of a person misusing his power and authority -- emanating from the body of the court.

The accused, Sajjan Kumar, is a Congress Party politician and its former cabinet minister. The party is currently in power and heads the Government of India.

During the trial, under intense pressure to release the report, the Central Bureau of Investigation -- India's equivalent of the FBI -- had presented evidence to the court that there was a conspiracy of “terrifying proportion” between Sajjan Kumar and the police during the pogroms.

But District Judge J.R. Aryan had disclosed his cards early on, and revealed them throughout the trial, by constantly referring to the anti-Sikh genocide as "riots", a term embraced by the Hindu extremists in India who have consistently condoned the genocide of thousands of innocent men, women and children in 40 cities across India during the three days in November 1984.

sikhchic.com had, at the very outset of the trial -- almost 13 months ago -- posted an article showing how Judge Aryan had been sabotaging the trial in favour of the accused Sajjan Kumar, even though he was the presiding judge.

The struggle for justice continues.

Court judgements in India are tailored and customized. With the lawyers becoming experts in twisting every citation to suit their clients, the 'honorable' judge justifies the best amongst them. Of course, such judgements do carry rewards. For the judge. It's indeed shameful that the trail ensures that the witnesses are harassed and hassled, time is stretched forever to ensuring that there are no witnesses left alive to pin the conspirators. Alas there is no way of pointing a finger towards the judge delivering the judgement. Here too the world will side with the ruling group in India.

sikhchic.com loses credibility by publishing an article by some writer who does not have the courage to sign his/her name to his/her words. [EDITOR: We agree and have a policy of full transparency. However, many in India have been cowered by the excesses of the government authorities against those who oppose its crimes. As a result, some of the readers writing from India expressly request anonymity from time to time. We have reluctantly acceded to their requests, as an exception to the rule. This piece, put together by a reader in New Delhi on the basis of today's news reports, was one such case.]

The problem of India is not a problem of governance. In fact, there is no governance in India for the cause of humanity, but for the cause of preserving caste-Hindu dominance, both religiously and politically. Such a inhumane subjugation of humanity must be thrown away in the trash-can of history.

Truth simply is ... it can be the voice of a single person or the cry for justice of a thousand souls. Our voices should resonate loud and clear with all those who value human dignity and life.

There's a reason why that country was ruled by invaders for centuries, they just don't know how to rule with fairness and justice. It's heading toward another string of centuries of foreign rule, and split into fragments.

The perpetrators of the 1984 carnage of Sikhs in India still remain unpunished, even though almost 30 years have passed after the massacres. Most shockingly, now a major organizer of this carnage, Sajjan Kumar, has been absolved of the crime. Both Congress and BJP indulge in a pseudo debate on the incidents of carnage of minorities and Dalits. Whenever massacre of these sections of society takes place, a facade of a commission is set-up which continues for decades, holds nobody responsible and its recommendations are never enforced. We can see the same thing happening in the case of Nellie Massacre (1983), Hashimpura Massacre (1987), Bhagalpur Massacre (1989), the anti-Sikh pogroms (1984-1995), Gujarat 2002 Massacre, and incidents of Dalit massacre at Lakshmipet AP (2012), Laxmanpur, Bihar (1997), Khairlanji, Maharashtra (2006), Bathani Tola, Bihar (1996) and many, many more. However, if any violence is committed by minorities and Dalits it is immediately punished with severest sentences including death penalty. BJP claims to be a supporter of Sikhs but there are documents proving that they justified the 1984 Massacre and supported Indra Gandhi for Blue Star Operation.

This was bound to happen. Not sure why all of us had any expectations from the Indian Government and its judiciary. Can someone cite a single example where minorities in India have got justice?

When the whole system is rotten and corrupt, then where is the scope for justice? One can see injustice at every point of life in India ... it's all over the media. There is no one who can come forward for changing of the system ... we can only discuss and discuss ... nothing else. But we still have to live in hope. Some day some change may start as nothing grows indefinitely, as per law of nature.
