The Dancer & The Dance
A Poem by S.J. KAUR
When You come
I recoil.
Even as I bolt the door
I run
To sneak a glimpse from the window.
I am
A thief in my own home.
The motions of love
Are the same.
In my heart beats gentle sadness
I drift
My restless spirit calls for You.
I am
A beggar and betrayer in love.
Now where do We go
From here
You lead this sweet dance.
To come home
I need only place my hand in Yours
I am
Both a Seeker and the Sought.
