Gratitude

A Poem by INNI KAUR

Love was in my heart

As a frail thread

That barely held me.

You entered

Taught me

To see

The beauty in all.

To heed

The Unspoken Word.

To drink

The un-pressed wine.

To savor

Every fragrant moment.

To ride

To the Unknown.

Love is now my halo

No beginning, no end

Surrounding all, embracing all.

Inni ji: Beautifully expressed. Gratitude being an expression of love, it leads us to divine wisdom. Guru Gobind Singh believed in the philosophy of love. He said in stanza 9 of "Tav Parsaad Swayyi-ai": "It is a Universal Truth: It is Only those who love who get to meet The One."
