Seven Sikh-Britons Honoured By Queen On New Year Honours List

Sikh-Briton cancer expert Harpal Singh Kumar is to be knighted by Queen Elizabeth II, while six other Sikh-Britons were also named for United Kingdom’s New Year's Honours for 2016.
The following is the complete list of the Sikh honorees.

Harpal Singh Kumar (Middlesex). Chief Executive, Cancer Research UK. For services to Cancer Research.
COMMANDER OF THE ORDER OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE
Raminder Singh Ranger (Moor Park, Hertfordshire). Chairman, Sun Mark Ltd. For services to Business and Community Cohesion.
OFFICER OF THE ORDER OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE (OBE)
Gurmukh Singh (Middlesex). Patron, Khalsa Aid. For services to Community Cohesion and charity.

Gurmeet Singh Kalsi (Surrey). Building Services Engineer, Palace of Westminster. For parliamentary services and voluntary services to the Sikh Community in Surrey.
Satpal Singh Nahl (Leeds, West Yorkshire). Officer, Bradford Group, HM Revenue and Customs. For services to Taxpayers and Public Administration.
Karnail Singh Pannu (Maidenhead, Berkshire). for his services to the community in Windsor and Maidenhead, Berkshire.
