I'm now beginning to understand why the Brits are so keen on building Mohandas Gandhi as a near-saint like figure. Remember Richard Attenborough's highly romanticized (and historically inaccurate) film, 'Gandhi'? Given their bad position in history, he somehow makes them look good -- or at least a little bit better.

This is the man who talked peace and holiness but was a sexual pervert who was directly involved in the greatest unleashing of violence during peace time in human history with millions dead, brutalized and displaced. And the greatest exodus of human beings in modern history. His pretensions were finally ended by an evil soul -- a criminal who subscribed to Narendra Modi's party and ideology!

@2: It is common knowledge that the Gujaratis support each other no matter what -- was sexual perversion the reason why Gandhi abandoned a fellow Gujarati (Patel) in favour of Nehru to be the first PM of India? According to some reports, Baldev Singh -- Nehru's stooge and the Sikh 'leader' of those days who betrayed his own people, had his own issues. I am beginning to smell a rat here.

@2: It was the responsibility of Lord Mountbatten, the last Viceroy of imperial India, to ensure a peaceful and orderly exchange of population between the two nations they had created so precipitously but this did not happen and millions lost their lives. Nehru's romps with Edwina Mountbatten are well known. I have no doubt that this was a swingers' club having a good time while millions perished.
