India Test-Fires "China Killer" Missile Capable Of Reaching Europe, China

Iran shouldn't!

North Korea shouldn't!

But India should?

This latest move by India is likely to trigger off a world-wide escalation of nuclear build-up. With China thus directly threatened by this development, one can expect it to further assist Iran, North Korea and similar states to build their own arsenals to counter the India-US-Israel alliance, and push China more clearly into the Islamic block.

India's western cheerleaders are showing a wanton disregard of India's status as one of the world's most corrupt regimes, its war-mongering history, and the fact that a majority of its population, numbering hundreds of millions, is starving, literally.

India test-fired a nuclear-capable, long-range missile capable of reaching deep inside Europe and China on Thursday, April 19, 2012, television stations showed, putting the Asian power into a club of nations with intercontinental nuclear defense capabilities.

A scientist at the launch site said the launch was successful, minutes after television images showed the rocket blasting through clouds from an island off India's east coast.

Footage showed the rocket, with a range of more than 3,100 miles, blasting through clouds from an island off India's east coast. The defense minister said the test was "immaculate."

The Agni-V missile is expected to become fully operational as early as 2014 after several more tests, The Times of India reported. It has a range of more than 3,100 miles, according to a BBC report.

Named after Hindu god of fire

The LA Times reported that the 50-ton, 55-foot three-stage rocket is named after the Hindu god of fire.  However, it said the missile had been dubbed the "China killer" by the Indian press.

The launch, which was flagged well in advance, has attracted none of the criticism from the West faced by hermit state North Korea for a failed bid to send up a similar rocket last week.

But China noted the launch with disapproval.

"The West chooses to overlook India's disregard of nuclear and missile control treaties,'' China's Global Times newspaper said in an editorial published before the launch, which was delayed a day due to bad weather at the test site.

"India should not overestimate its strength,'' said the paper, which is owned by the Chinese Communist Party's main mouthpiece the People's Daily.

In recent years, India has emerged as the world's top arms importer as it upgrades equipment for a large but outdated military.

The morons in India are already referring to the rocket as the "Big Boy"! Harking, of course, to the atom bomb the U.S. dropped on Hiroshima in 1945! What idiots! All this jingoism will get them nowhere, for the West is fully aware of India's capabilities - or, more correctly, lack of them. Especially after witnessing their ultimate show of modernity - the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi less than 2 years ago. But there are few things more dangerous than a fool with a handful of fire-crackers.

Yipp-ee-eee! We have our urran khatola again! I wonder if the millions of our poor defecating outdoors along the coast line during the test were able to witness the event on the horizon, in its full glory. They must surely have had tears of joy in their otherwise sunken eyes.

Even more so than the West, China is fully aware of the true extent of India's self-proclaimed prowess. Go to Shanghai and then go to New Delhi, and you'll know which one is truly capable of what. I was at both the Beijing Olympics and the New Delhi Commonwealth Games. Well ... what can I tell you that you don't already know? One was like seeing the RCMP doing their Musical Ride, and the other like watching a truckload of Keystone cops in a Silent Era film coming around the corner sharply ... and spilling its load all over the street! Which one was which? I'll let you guess.

India is always in crisis, and our corrupt rulers are always busy sweeping things under the rug. Recent months have revealed our armed forces to be in total disarray. Our Army Chief actually took the Government of India to Court and has been having a public shouting match with his political masters! Why? Because he wanted to stay chief longer. While all of this was going on, bribery scandals involving senior military personnel came to the fore. And then, reports of massive army movements towards the capital, unauthorized by the government, giving rise to rumours of the possibility of a coup! At the same time, there were leaks to assure the public that all was well, and nothing to worry. Why? Because, revealed the reports, our armed forces are totally unprepared and ill-equipped for active duty! Hm-mm-m! That makes it a good time to blast some loud fireworks, in order to distract the lemmings and have them, en masse, run the other way! And, looks like it worked. Everybody is jumping up and down like monkeys on toddy, doing their periodic Tetley Tea dance of a new Ram Rajya. The West feels smug, thinking that it now has one of its chamchas holding something over China ... but through all of this hobson-jobson, the Chinese continue doing what they're best at: slowly, methodically, consistently, pointedly, moving forward.

What India and China need, first and foremost, is population control ... food and education. Expensive weaponry will not get them any. Nor will it bring any progress or peace.

Do missiles have the capacity to discern? If it is a 'China' Killer, can't it kill any other? What ridiculous jingoism, or is it a pointed attempt by India to needle China? I was hoping people would have left the colonial era behind to be able to think beyond weapons.
