Board of Directors

EDITOR - PUBLISHER

The biggest and most valuable asset sikhchic.com has had from its very inception, and enjoys to this very day, is its team of advisors who have guided it lovingly and meticulously during the last five years to where it is now: a full-fledged daily magazine serving Sikhs of every ilk from across the length and breadth of the diaspora ... which, through the vagaries of history, now also includes what is left of our historical homeland, Punjab.

Our advisors have been more than mere 'advisors', though. They have been our best friends and mentors, advocates and contributors, and as such have been our pillars of strength and support.

They constitute a cyber-sangat in their own right, more often than not the only form of communication between us being through cyber-space. As such, they hail from different parts of the world and bring a whole gamut of skills and life-experiences which have helped give sikhchic.com the gravitas necessary for it to meet its mandate.

In our pre-occupation with consolidation and growth, we have neglected to formalize the role of these, our best friends, and have therefore decided to forthwith correct the omission by announcing today our Board of Directors.

We are most grateful to each one of them for the love and dedication they have so selflessly shared with us to date, and are proud to have them continue as our advisors on our newly-minted Board of Directors. They are:

Dr. Birinder Singh Ahluwalia, Toronto, Canada

Dr. I.J. Singh, New York, U.S.A.

Ravinder Singh, Ohio, U.S.A.

Inni Kaur, Connecticut, U.S.A.

Gurmeet Kaur, Atlanta, U.S.A.

Amrit Kaur Singh, United Kingdom

Sangat Singh, Malaysia

Rabindra Kaur Singh, United Kingdom

Manpreet Kaur Singh, Victoria, Australia

Manjit Singh, Quebec, Canada

Amanjyot Singh, California, U.S.A.

Congratulations to all the appointees of this acclaimed website for their invaluable contribution. It is indeed an honour to all Malaysian Sikhs that our very own distinguished Planter, S. Sangat Singh has been bestowed this recognition. He has been aptly described as 'A Man of All Seasons' by our very own Manjeet Singh who himself spreads sunshine with his deep love and understanding of gurbani. May sikhchic.com continue its invaluable service under the guidance of its new advisors. "Jisno bakhse sifat saa-laaho/ Nanak paatsaahi paatsaaho".

I feel sikhchic.com should give space to all types of opinions, if it has to evolve as a holistic Sikh journal. Also, we should have a fixed target of having some percentage of original publications on the sikhchic.com.

One more thing: More participation of youth should be aimed for. Wise guidance by seniors is necessary, but our youth need to be pulled in as full participants.

While there are not many projects we Sikhs seem to be getting right collectively in recent times, sikhchic.com stands out as one that is excellent, well-executed and implemented. Congratulations are due to it's leadership and participants. Chardi Kalaa!
