We Need Your Help

EDITOR

We need your help.

We at sikhchic.com are well into our fourth year of operation.

From the feedback we get from you everyday, from every corner of the globe, it appears that we have been successful in meeting some of the goals you had set for us and we had set out to achieve.

Needless to say, we still have miles to go ...

We have added a whole list of new features as we have progressed, the most recent ones being over the last few weeks. The site is now, uniquely,  a full-fledged DAILY online Sikh magazine.

As well, our readership has been doubling every year, and the site has been expanding as we learn the ropes.

To date, this project has been made possible by the generosity, commitment and understanding of a handful of individuals.

But our resources remain limited, and our growth - though envisioned as infinite in our vision and imagination - remains tied to practicalities.

We are ready to move up to the next level of meeting the journalistic needs of the worldwide communities. We are poised to further expand exponentially in the next few weeks and months in terms of what we want to offer you more in both quality and quantity.

To effect all of this, we need more resources - for staff, library, equipment, premises, technical support, archival security, etc.

We have waited this long - almost three-and-a-half years! - before we came to you to help, because we first wanted to show what we could do, and then do it ... so that we weren't talking about mere plans or intangibles.

Sikhchic.com is real and alive and comes into your homes every day, no matter where you are. We have adopted the highest of journalistic standards, and the epitome of professionalism, in order to give you nothing less than a state-of-the-art magazine.

We did not set out to provide you just the best desi or the best Indian or the best South-Asian or the best minority or the best Sikh site ... but, instead, THE BEST SITE anywhere - even by any mainstrean standards.

Many of you tell us we have met those ideals. We do not want to rest on those gracious accolades. We want to do more because, as we stated at the outset, we know we still have miles to go ...

So, we turn to you now for help in funds to make it all happen.

We have set up a Pay-pal system to facilitate your generosity.

Anything and everything you offer, according to your resources and daswandh plans, will be of immense help. A regular, periodic contribution will entrench us on a long-term basis, but single, one-time or lump-sum contributions are equally welcome.

No, we don't have any taxable benefit status to offer you at this early stage - but it is in our long-term plans. We feel at this stage, however, that it should not prove a deterrent.

If you have any questions, we'll be glad to answer them. We can be reached at editor@sikhchic.com.

If you experience any difficulty with Pay-pal, please advise us immediately.

A receipt will be e-mailed to you promptly. We also assure you that any information given for this purpose will not be used for ANY other purpose, except remain in sikhchic.com confidential records.

Thank you for your enthusiastic support and spirited participation to date. We look forward to serving you even better.

Thought you'd never ask! Glad that you did!! I hope the cyber sangat will help build and strengthen this 'Lighthouse' that imparts knowledge of Sikhi to all, while illuminating the issues that need introspection.
