Andrews McMeel Publishing and Simon & Schuster Canada will publish two new books by Rupi Kaur, whose poetry collection ‘Milk and Honey’ has sold more than half a million copies.

The two international publishers share world English rights.

“We could not be more thrilled to continue our relationship with Rupi and to bring her transformative poetry and prose to the world via two new publications,” Kirsty Melville, publisher and president of Andrews McMeel, said in a statement. “It is particularly exciting to look forward to the future today, as we recently celebrated the first anniversary of the publication of ‘Milk and Honey‘."

The first book of poetry, currently untitled, in the two-book deal is set to publish in the fall of 2017. The deal was brokered by Suzanne Brandreth of ‘The Cooke Agency‘.

Milk and Honey‘, also published by Andrews McMeel, has remained on the New York Times bestseller list for twenty-five consecutive weeks, and has sold well in the U.K., Australia, the subcontinent and New Zealand. Foreign rights have been sold to China, Korea, Italy, Spain, and Germany. Melville said there are over one million copies of the book in print.

Once India was a land of Milk and Honey, but now both are in short supply ... literally and metaphorically. This has once again started to trickle into print. Thanks to Rupi. But the immediate need of Punjab is water which on purpose is being unfairly usurped by neighbouring states as far as Rajasthan and Delhi. This land, long called the Bread Basket of India is now being turned into a desert. Hope this is part of the manifesto of AAP for the forthcoming elections in Punjab.

Where can I get this book of poems 'Milk and Honey'? The title seems quite a honey trap. [EDITOR: You can purchase it at Amazon - https://www.amazon.ca/Milk-Honey-Rupi-Kaur/dp/144947425X ]
