Memories

A Poem by INNI KAUR

The worst part of holding the memories is not the pain. It's the loneliness of it. Memories need to be shared.” [Lois Lowry, The Giver]

Mind drifts ....

Summer memories invade

Months of stress

Weeks of turmoil

I shudder.

Tears flow

Sun dries them.

Sighs escape

Zephyr scatters them.

Flora rustles

I hear …

Breathe honorably

Feel passionately

Touch seductively

Tread sensitively

Celebrate life.

I bow…

Sun caresses

Zephyr embraces

Flora adorns

I’m cocooned.
